As our company expands into Western markets (Europe, North America, Russia) we want to offer our players a website and design experience that improves upon the typical dated Chinese approach, and instead competes in quality and usability with industry leaders such as Blizzard and Supercell.
As our audience is European/North American we would like our candidate to be from the West, giving him/her the ability to understand the cultural and design subtleties (eg styles/fonts) that make websites “work” there.
The ideal candidate should be a talented website designer who can successfully combine their coding and design skills to create amazing web experiences that are engaging, fun, and easy to use, and have the vision and drive to lead our team to compete with the best.
Our office is over 1,000 people strong and is conveniently located a few minutes from Dongdan station (line 1 and 5). The working atmosphere is positive and relaxed and we embrace equality and diversity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Create cutting-edge websites, from concept to execution, across multiple platforms and form factors: web, desktop applications, and mobile devices
• End-to-end ownership: Drive projects from inception through development, implementation, QA, launch, and ongoing support
• Define, maintain, and propagate website and design style guides and reference documentation to support a coherent visual experience across several web projects
• Oversee strategy, execution, and overall quality of the company's web and mobile projects developed by internal/external resources
• Adapt and localize the company's visual identities, style guides, and design guidelines to the specific needs of each market
• Seek input, requirements and feedback from across the company to help define creative design solutions, and present these back to the team and organization
• Adapt product experiences to different audiences based on their needs and the devices they use (feature personalization, responsive design, accessibility, etc)
REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent knowledge of web design & development (XHTML, CSS, PHP, Flash, MySql, etc)
• Exceptional design skills in layout, typography, color theory, and compositing abilities specifically with digital assets
• Proficient using various design tools (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc) and content management systems (Drupal, Wordpress, etc.)
• Web design experience on medium/large-scale industry websites (preferably gaming sites)
