Alpine Education’s Base Camp: a Development Curriculum
Prepare students to study abroad in a unique program that is truly the only one of its kind!

Unlike any other preparation program, Base Camp addresses the profound divide between the U.S. and Chinese education traditions. Through reflection, study, and practice, students bridge that divide before they arrive at their Western school.

The curriculum and methodology of Base Camp is thoroughly grounded in educational research and deeply informed by the observations of American faculty and Chinese students in America. Recognizing the great influence of parents in Chinese culture, Base Camp works with parents as well as their children to ensure understanding of the academic and social possibilities embodied in the Western educational experience that lies ahead.
