Our focus is particularly on spoken English, which we teach through cultural content. We want to make both the students and the teachers have a great time together, that's why we limit the class size considerably to a maximum of 4 learners per teacher.
Job information:
1. Student age: any age possible from small children to adults, but so far mainly from 4 to 15 years old.
2. Class size: small group classes limited to a maximum of 4 students.
3. Salary: basic salary is 200 RMB per hour + performance bonuses up to a maximum salary of 250 RMB per hour.
4. Working hours: flexible and adjustable to your needs. You could either work in addition to your full-time job or decide to take 10 or more hours per week. It is important though that you stick to the classes that you have signed up for.
5. Working time: classes are mainly between 4 pm to 8 pm and available every day that you choose to teach.
6. Working location: The classes are done at the home of one of the students or sometimes in cafés or offices if you are teaching adults. We are trying to offer you classes closest to your home, but we cannot guarantee that for every location yet.
Requirements:
• Teaching experience
• Working visa. We can provide working visas for full-time employees
• No criminal records
• Native speaker or have a proven native level and very good accent
• TEFL/TESOL/CELTA certificate preferred
• Basic Chinese language skills preferred
• Own a laptop or a tablet (for example an iPad) for the classes
